NYFW - The New Museum - Ricardo Seco

So this menswear show was brought to you by Ricardo Seco. The presentation was located at The New Museum, my friend, Mayela who was a makeup artist in the show invited me to come along. All who attended needed to go up an elevator, now I'm not going to lie, at first I was rather annoyed by the way they laid out the show. It felt like I was at a rave and couldn't see the DJ. I was throughly impressed when all of a sudden the models came up through the same elevator and scattered through the crowd and made their way to the front. Standing on cubes with words on them to showcase the clothing, it elevated them up which then I could see everything even being in the middle of the crowd. It was a cool way to make sure everyone saw the clothing.

The clothing themselves were really well executed, definitely something I want to see more of. The models were diverse which I appreciate and not to mention not too bad on the eyes ;)

Now the shoes! When I think New Balance I think simple running shoes. Turns out Seco designs for New Balance and these shoes were far from simple. His designs, all of them were vibrant and fun.

If I can sum up the show in 3 words it would be: fresh, original and sharp.

For the 100th time, it's cold so I had sheer tights under my distressed jeans and I paired it with a long white button up. It seems I can't escape the creams and whites and have been loving lighter more pastel colors this season.
